The crowd begins to thin out as 6 players share first with 3/3. I have 2/3 after doing nothing special in the first two days of competition. Four more games to play in a strong tournament. Rising star Bodi,Tibor(2105) beat IM Szalancy with white in what looked like a Siclian Dragon. Terbe, Zsuzsanna(another one of my RAC teammates) is having a strong showing and has 2.5/3.
I won quickly against Mizler as white. Black was in trouble early, and after 18.Bd3 white threatened 19.Bxh7+ followed by Qh5+ with a quick destruction of the kingside. Black replied 18…Qg4 blocking a potential Qh5 but after 19.Ne7+! black resigned immediately.
