Results-Round 1 on 2015/11/20

All the top seeds won like they were supposed to.

I had to win my game twice due to a bout of stupidity.

After 30..Rfd8(diagram) White has a winning attack and only has to figure out how to deal with ..Kf8 and the king runs off but cannot realistically live too long.

After 30..Rfd8

I played the second best 31.Qe2 but did not have the guts to play 31.Rxg5+! with the idea of 31..Kf8 21.Rg8+!! etc

  1. I think that the best is 30. Nf5! The next I would lose pawn h6. I saw 31. Rxg5+ and I want to play hxg6 (31. Rxg5+ hxg6 32. Qxg5 Kf8 33. Qg7+ Ke8 34. Qg8+ Kd7 35. Bf5+ Qxf7+ 36. Kc8 Qxe6+ and I think that white pawns promote).

Mr Yip in the last move you play fxe8Q+ but the first you pressed the clock and the next put queen in e8.

    7.5 a.

“If the player has moved a pawn to the furthest distant rank, pressed the clock, but not replaced the pawn with a new piece, the move is illegal. The pawn shall be replaced by a queen of the same colour as the pawn.”

Please remember because in rapid and blitz tournaments first illegal move is loose.

    Thank you for the game.
