MTK 5-Pestszentimrei SK 3

See Results(not updated yet)

I contributed a win with Black against Pollack,A on board 5, defending a Queen’s Indian.

Nothing really happened for the longest time but Black started make some progress on the queenside. My opponent seemed quite keen on getting a draw as many offers were made during the game in roughly equal positions. However, they were all politely declined.

MTK Team Captain, Attila Balla dropped by later to watch and record the results.

Our team seemed stronger on the top boards but as I left early, I did not see how we lost the other games.

The MTK lineup was

  1. Csizmadia,L
  2. Fodor,B
  3. Strenner,J
  4. Bolyai,I
  5. Yip,M
  6. Weszely,G
  7. dr Filep,T
  8. Juhasí,A
